Socket and The Child Center

Socket keeps the dialogue open between families and professionals.

Client
The Child Center educates the public on how to prevent child abuse and serves children and families that have experienced trauma in the following Missouri counties: St. Charles, Warren, Lincoln, Montgomery, Pike, Ralls, Marion, Monroe, Lewis and Clark. Based in Wentzville, Mo., its mission is to help abused families through a supportive team of professionals.

Challenge
The ability to communicate efficiently and reliably is an integral part of The Child Center’s service to its children and families. With plans to expand by adding staff members and moving into a new building, a smooth transition was needed to guarantee telecommunications operations would continue uninterrupted. Unfortunately, the local telephone provider was unable to provide the quality service needed to meet the demands of a successful expansion as The Child Center grew.
Solution
The Child Center also wanted to physically separate two departments while retaining the ability to communicate with one another and operate as one business unit. Socket’s business telephone made that happen by using fast, reliable communication and responsive service to streamline the Center’s network. Furthermore, Socket’s disaster recovery plan assured the important communication between the Center and the children and families it serves would continue regardless of external problems. The switch to Socket allowed The Child Center to easily increase its staff as well as effectively transition into a new building.
